It is quite interesting to me how people feel about different things in this world. How about Life. Well, the obvious is that none of us would be here if it weren't for life, right? So...how is it that some feel that a mere mortal has the power to decide rather a 'life' should exist or not? Be terminated or not? Just dumbfounds me.
My very best friend was not able to have children...God had different plans. Thankfully, life was important enough for two amazing ladies out there who, God willing, gave their babies up for adoption. Now, my friend has two incredible children of her own. They are beautifully loved kiddos...6 and 3 years old.
Now...what if those two amazing women would have decided to take a different approach? I'm sure the easiest way for them would have been to 'abort' the problem. But, they didn't. They gave birth to my friend's babies...her new life.
She and her husband have a beautiful family because of the selflessness of another.
LIFE IS A BEAUTIFUL THING. NOT AN OPTION.

Rock! Rock! 'til you drop....
Yes, it is true. I was (and still am, shhhhh!) quite the headbanger back in the day. Listening to the likes of Guns N Roses, Metallica, Sabbath, Priest and, of course, Motley Crue...just to name a few. I use to get a few songs in here and there - after I dropped the kids off to school.
Until now. Enter: ROCK BAND - PS3.
There is something really cool about watching your kids (and husband) TOTALLY rocking out to "Run to the Hills", "Tom Sawyer", "Paranoid"...very cool. Don't know if anyone is familiar with the game, but, my 1st grader is only ONE song away from finishing the game on expert. Yes, I said EXPERT.
Okay...still bragging........
So, I'm on our way home from guitar lessons for London - who, coincedentally, is only 6 years old - and he says, "Mom, do you have Iron Man on your iPod?". Uh, yes - of course, who doesn't?? So, we play it a couple times. He gets home and figures it out all by himself on his acoustic. Now, that my friends, makes me proud.
Stay-at-home-PTO-President-Mom and still rocking out to the good stuff. Life is good. :)

Oh the joy of the PTO
So, like a crazy person - I just can't say no. I've tried. Doesn't happen. So, now I am the President of the PTO. YIKES! How the heck did that happen???
It's pretty fun, actually. I have tons of great friends that are on the Board - we really have a good time. Last year (I was VP) and we put together the 1st Annual Daddy Daughter Dance. It was held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom and was to die for!!
I had so much fun being able to walk around amongst the Daddys and their precious little girls. I am insanely excited about this year -- Anna will get to go!! Yippee!!! :)
We will have our 1st Annual Mother / Son Event this year. We are doing "A Movie Under the Stars". We have this company that will erect this monster sized drive-in movie like movie screen...right on the school grounds! London will get to go with me. I'm pumped.
